4logist Updates: Subcontracting, Transport Planning in the Calendar, and More
In the latest 4logist release, we’ve introduced several new capabilities, including subcontracted order management and calendar-based planning for your own fleet.
We’ve also added custom route point categories, new API methods, and a range of smaller improvements to orders, invoices, and documents.
Subcontracting: Up to Five Linked Orders
We’ve simplified complex workflows where multiple companies are involved in a shipment.
With parallel import, you can now create a chain of up to five linked orders at once, including all companies involved and the financial relationships between them.
There’s no need to create each order separately and link them one by one. This reduces the number of steps required to manage subcontracted orders.
Plan Your Fleet Directly in the Calendar
You can now create a trip using your own fleet directly from the calendar — simply drag the load card to the required date. No additional forms need to be completed beforehand.
This makes load planning more efficient, allowing you to assign loads and create trips directly in the calendar.
Custom Route Point Categories
You can now create custom route point categories directly in the load creation form.
In addition to standard loading and unloading points, users can plan routes in greater detail by adding extra stops and stages.
For example, you can specify:
- border crossings;
- fuel stops;
- ferry crossings;
- any other points along the route.
These categories can be used for shipments handled by your own fleet as well as those carried out by external carriers.
This makes it possible to describe routes more accurately in 4logist and account for intermediate points that are important for a specific shipment.
New API Capabilities
We’ve expanded the 4logist API to provide more options for integrations with other systems.
We’ve added methods for retrieving tags from:
- orders;
- requests;
- loads;
- trips.
We’ve also added a method for retrieving the transport type.
The new methods allow you to transfer more data from 4logist to external systems and use it in your own integrations and automated workflows.
Other Improvements
Alongside the major updates, this release includes a range of smaller improvements to orders, documents, invoices, and data management:
- documents that have expired can now be blocked from use;
- the Excel export from the “Orders” section now includes a column for the primary freight forwarder;
- when importing orders from Excel, additional custom fields and warehouse data can now be transferred;
- the Orders section now includes a column with transport types from rail trips;
- a new “Overpayment” status has been added for invoices;
- issued and received invoice lists now include amount statistics;
- stamps are now displayed in document previews;
- filters, logging, carrier profiles, and customer profiles have been improved.
The updates are already available to 4logist users.
